Ice Wars: Episode IV

Editors note: I will post regular, typical reviews for Nashville, Los Angeles and Anaheim. What follows is a mildly gripping tale of the Predators in their quest for home ice in the first round of the playoffs. Most of the names, places, and events are real, except all the names were changed to seem more like a certain science fiction franchise.

Episode IV
HOME ICE

It is a dark time for the Predators.  In the middle of a hectic Central division, their place in the playoffs is nowhere from secure.  Things look bleak with the arrival of the despicable Red Wings in Nashville.  Led by Darth Howard and Grand Moff Babcock, they represent the ultimate power in the league...

Young Shea Skywalker, fresh from the plains of Kelowa, is on a quest to topple the Red Wings and bring a Cup to Smashville.  To this end, he enlists the help of Pekka Solo, one of the best goaltenders in the league, to his cause.  The Predators prepare for the despicable Wings to come to town...

Pekka Solo
The upstart Predators score an early victory as young Hornqvist slips the puck into the net past Darth Howard.  However the Wings refuse to leave, as Stormtrooper Drew Miller beats Pekka Solo within minutes.  However the Wings overconfidence becomes their undoing, as their brash penalties allow Andreibacca to score two power play goals against Darth Howard.  Even a late score by Stormtrooper Abdelkader could not temper the young Predators victory in this contest.

However... a long West Coast road trip looms...
