Ice Wars: Episode VI

EPISODE VI
RETURN OF THE PREDATORS

After the terrible defeat in nearby Los Angeles, The young Predators must regroup in the suburb Anaheim.  They must do so without their best goaltender, as Pekka Solo was frozen in a block of solid ice by the despicable Darth Quick.  In his place, young Anders Lindback was forced to pilot the ship for the matchup with the Ducks of Anaheim, the last team they had defeated in the playoffs, even though it feels like such a long time ago.

While the Ducks have looked weak in the past, there was something...unsettling about this meeting.  Even when the Predators get a quick power play, something feels just...off.  Quickly, the unsettling nature comes to bear.

“IT’S A TRAPEZOID!!!!” Bellows Admiral Trotz.

“WE CAN’T REPEL EGGPLANT OF THAT MAGNITUDE!”

The damage was done, a shorthanded goal by Anaheim puts them up 1-0 in the first period.  Emperor Boudreau watches from afar as his minions score on the weary Predators.  The upstart club regrouped, however, and held the Ducks at bay throughout the remainder of the first period and the entire second.

In the third period, the Predators came back.  With successive goals by Hornqvist, Fischer, and Legwand, the Predators regained control of the contest.  Anders Lindback withstood a flurry of Ducks shots to preserve the victory, and retain home ice for the eons to come...
